When I had my son I had no idea what to expect. As most women, I planned to be a to be a good mom, breastfeed, and recover as quick as possible. I thought I’d be okay and not have any issues with postpartum because I was working out 5/6 days a week before being pregnant and didn’t feel like I’d be impacted. I was wrong. Postpartum depression and the feeling of not being good enough for my baby or family started to hit me. Then, Dr. Matthew McAuliffe started me on hormone therapy and within 24-72 hours I saw a noticeable difference in my mood and was no longer feeling less than. Now, 2 months later I’m still taking it.
